NET-A-PORTER
Branded content (not to mention luxury fashion on the Internet!) was still a new idea in the early 2010s. As a journalism graduate, the idea of working at an e-commerce site wasn’t an ideal, but with print imploding, no WordPress to my name, and the debut of Instagram still six months away, it was my opportunity. Net-a-Porter opened my eyes to the future, and I am grateful for it. From 2010 to 2013, as an intern and assistant in London and New York, I helped launch Net-a-Porter TV and reported live on social media channels from US-based events.
YouTube
I helped establish the YouTube channel with a full content migration and new Net-a-Porter TV franchises
Produced video coverage, including backstage and front-row interviews, during fashion month: New York, London, Milan, and Paris.
Wrote video description copy to drive engagement, search optimization, and commerce.
Wrote introduction scripts and interview questions for designer profiles
Event Publishing
Spearheaded the brand’s US social media presence, including coverage from US based events, such as New York Fashion Week and Art Basel Miami, on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to drive global brand presence and authority. This was the era of blurry runway pics. If you didn’t post one, were you even there?
Weekly Newsletter
Produced a weekly newsletter, The Net Net, for the US Editor to drive commerce.
